Sunflower Coral is a large polyp stony coral, Also called Goniopora, Flower Pot,or Daisy Coral. When all of its polyps are opened, It looks like a bouquet of flowers with its bright green tips. Once open, a gorgeous hard coral with free-flowing short polyps. An aggressive Coral, with long polyps that extend far from its base. Plenty of room should be given. Clownfish, will often play in its polyps and will damage or even kill the coral. A hard coral to keep, it requires great water conditions and can not take tempertures above 79. Requires strong lighting and good indirect water flow Fed by symbiotic algae zooxanthellae provides most of its nutrition. It does needs additional food fed bi-weekly in the form of brine shrimp or plankton.
